The Book of Chad, also know as the Gospel of Teilo after the patron saint of Llandaff, where the manuscript originated, dates from before 720 AD and represents the earliest extant Welsh version of the Latin Gospels. This first transciption of the Teilo-Chad Mauscript, completed in 1934, contians a Latin text accompanied by a critical apparatus, incluing a history of the text.
